Sadly our time at The Alresford Gift Shop came to an end last Saturday 14th September when we closed our doors at 5pm.
We have run the shop for 10 years almost to the day and it has been a wonderful time . We learned ‘on the job’ as we were new to the world of gift and card retailing. We can never send enough thanks to the loyal following of fantastic customers who have supported us through thick and thin in person and online. We are proud of the way our little shop became a destination shop for people from the wider area to obtain independently selected cards and gifts.
We truly thank every single customer, every single rep, all our retail neighbours and especially the Alresford dogs who did their bit pulling their owners inside the shop so they could get a treat😀
We were totally overwhelmed last week with the kindness shown to us by our customers and friends. We will miss you all but it is time for us to take advantage of the break clause in our lease and stop so that we can concentrate on the bits of our life we have neglected- and have some weekends.
Please continue to value independent retailers as it is a difficult path to follow and in these financially difficult times each shop needs all the customers it can get.
