We have been preparing all week for Heritage Open Days. Our 'backstage' visits, aka Behind the scenes at the bookshop, are all booked out but do pop in and say hello if you are in our part of town on Saturday or Sunday. And if you used to work at the shop do make yourself known as we should love to hear some memories of your time here.

Starting school this September?

Join us at P&G Wells at 11:30 Monday and Wednesday for some starting-school themed stories, followed by activities and discussion sessions with Olivia, where parents and children can ask questions and advice about what to expect on their first days in Reception.

☀️Looking to chill out this summer? We have you covered with storytimes at P&G Wells!☀️

Bring your little bookworms along for fun, engaging readings of these brilliant titles, followed by some awesome activities afterwards. Plan the perfect day, decide if you’re team dog or team bear, find your inner Big Tiger, and visit the dragon bakery!

Through the holidays, we will be offering additional storytimes on Monday and Wednesday each week, as well as the usual Sunday Storytime, all at 11:30.

We are very excited about the way our events and activities are coming together for Independent Bookshop Week.

Talks, book groups, book bedazzling workshop, children's activities, window painting, off-site events and, to crown off the week, we are looking forward to welcoming author Emily Howes to talk about her new book, Mrs Dickens. Emma will be interviewed by Natasha Poliszczuk and we think it will be a great evening.
