We are closed today, as the team enjoy their chocolate eggs & a walk up the mountains.

We are back with you at 10am - 4pm tomorrow.

Please DON'T leave any donations outside our doors when we closed,you may get in trouble with the council as its classed as fly tipping and we cant use it & also respect our neigbours.

Watch out for trees down there is alot across the lakes 🙂

Happy Easter everyone,

The weather outside didnt get the memo but here at Scope -Windermere charity shop you will always get a warm weclome. We are open 09.30 - 17.00 today & tomorrow. For all your needs apart from chocolate eggs 😪

Please keep a eye on the storm dave warnings as public transport will just stop in the lake district. & more important stay safe 🙂

Morning everyone,

Just wanted to pop on & talk to you all about gift aiding your donations to us.

Wondering how Gift Aid works?
It’s simple, if you’re a UK taxpayer, we can reclaim the tax you’ve already paid on your donation, increasing its value by 25%. Gift Aid UK is a valuable government scheme that enables registered charities like Scope to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate – at no additional cost to you.

All you need do is when you drop your donations into store, say you wish to gift aid ( staff member should ask) takes a max of 2 minutes to sign up. You will be given a card with a barcode on to use next you donate so no hanging around.

You can never count on the weather in the lakes at Easter. So pop in to Scope Windermere Shop.
We have Toys for the kids at pocket money prices.
Coats to keep you dry & umbrellas too
Or a new outfit for that romantic evening meal whilst visting one our local restaurants.

So pop in if your in Windermere we are across the road from Sainsburys or the co-op and say hello 👋

Good friday 10am -4pm
Easter saturday 9.30 -5pm
Easter sunday CLOSED
Bank holiday Monday 10am -4pm

We are currently looking for Till and Customer Service volunteers to help us in our shop.

If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, then this may be for you.

Till and Customer Service - typical activities:

Using the shop till to take payment for items
Promoting Gift Aid to maximise our fundraising potential
Helping and advising customers
Undertaking general activities in the shop
No experience is needed. Full training will be provided.

When can I volunteer?

A few hours during the week/weekend?- as agreed with the shop manager.

There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours, we only ask that we agree hours you are confident you can attend and that you let us know where these hours may change

It maybe pouring with rain outside & cold.. but here at Scope Windermere Shop, the team have a spring in there step with the spring range blooming onto the shop floor.
