The last few days have been very special, for all sorts of reasons.

But one thing I hadn’t quite expected was the sheer number of messages arriving from people putting up their parasols, gazebos and tents from previous years again… or doing so for the very first time.

There is something about seeing them back up, being used and enjoyed, that feels hugely rewarding. That people have bothered to message and send pictures is a real moment of celebration. We’re delighted and grateful.

I’ve shared just a small selection here.

You can’t imagine how much it means to us. We really do care about the happiness they bring, and hearing this sort of thing never loses its impact.

I know I harp on about it, but outdoor living really doesn’t have be restricted to summer.

Making an outdoor … I wouldn’t call it a room, but it becomes one with our canopies. Somewhere in the garden you can settle and stay a while. Your own haven.

At this time of year, with shows looming and so much to do, the hours can be very long and very full.

But here’s the thing I won’t ever miss - and at this time of year when the blossom is heavy on the branches, my busiest time, it’s the best medicine in the whole world.

A little Windsor GIVEAWAY!

I can’t quite explain the feeling in those moments when we discover that we feature in a publication I’ve loved and admired for as long as I can remember, and never more so than when we saw May’s edition of House & Garden!

It felt quite surreal to see our parasol in Punya Pink, a design so close to my heart, in such an iconic magazine - I’d love you to click through the pics to see the story and the meaning behind its beautiful name.

It’s undoubtedly the question I am asked most often - What’s the difference between our Comberton pop-up patterned Gazebo and our Astell Indian garden Tent. So here we are! All explained. This week glorious weather has been a wake-up call, the summer’s version of a 5 minute bell, reminding us all that those blissful sun-drenched days in the garden are imminent.

We’re not doing this exact garden parasol in Blenheim this year, but we have some real beauties in several other designs, in garden parasols, pop-up patterned gazebos and our romantic Indian garden tents.
