🌸WINKLEIGH 🌸in🌸BLOOM🌸
The judging took place this week on Wednesday during Winkleigh Fair Week 2026 with several addresses to get round it took nearly 3 hours!

A big Thank you to those of you that entered.
Over £60 was raised in the coffers of Winkleigh Fair & we celebrate everyones efforts especially those that aim to flower up the village we all love !

Certificates, Gift Vouchers from Catkin Blooms & the fabulous Trophies donated by Seven Stars Winkleigh / Edge Stitch + Print will be presented tomorrow in the square during Winkleigh Fair Saturday around 5pm

Crowning Day
The Opening Sunday of Winkleigh Fair 2026
The day the King & Queen get crowned, the Village Well gets blessed & the annual week of fun begins!

For years as the Village Florist I get to dress the well in flowers GROWN & DRIED here in Winkleigh.
A tad warm this year for fresh flowers so a dried Flower Crown for the Well was born !
A fabulous delivery of locally grown Helichrysum (Straw flowers) Golden Oats Grasses & Cardoons from one of our lovely local growers Nicky Jenner paired with my own grown Bay, Box, Echinops, Giant Scabious, Penstemon, Spirea, Seedheads on a structure of sticks in a woven wreath base ~ the more you look the more you'll see !
Lets hope this evenings winds are kind

🌸 June is such a lovely month for Flowers🌼
Its always been the month of British Flowers Week for a reason & flowers we have in the shop today showcase whats available, pop in & see us in the shop on Exeter Road or phone 01837 748039

👠Did you know we won Best Florist in Devon in 2023 & unbelievably in 2024 as well from Muddy Stilettos Devon

🌻 Did you know we grow lots of our own Flowers here in Winkleigh & have been flowering the village & surrounding areas for over 10 years

🌸 Did you know we are surrounded by lots of lovely local British Flower growers like Nicky @ Indleigh Green who grew these lovely soft pink Lavateras & Ronnie @ Broadwoodkelly who grew these amazing Sweetpeas for us - available for £2 donation for Winkleigh Flower and Produce Show

🏵Did you know we sponsor Winkleigh in Bloom for Winkleigh Fair Events to encourage local residents to grow more flowers & have hanging baskets & we flower up the Winkleigh village well for Winkleigh Fair

🌼 Did you know we flower up local businesses like Winkleigh Post Office, The Kings Arms Winkleigh & The Mad Butchers at Winkleigh / Devon & grateful for their support to make the village blooming marvellous

🌻 Did you know we run a weekly FlowerClub in reuseable glass vases to reduce our packaging & these are collectable from the shop on a Friday @£14 the best of whats on offer that week through the seasons

☕️🍰 Did you know that we also serve amazing Coffee & Fabulous Cakes & support loads of other local businesses like Fiona’s Farm Shop who makes our quiche & Moor Taw who produce our milk

🌿 Did you know we also sell Houseplants, Flowering Bedding & locally grown Perennials grown by local plant nurseries

🌸 Winkleigh in Bloom 🌸
We are on a mission to Bloom up Winkleigh !
You may of noticed how lovely the village is looking with all the Blooming Planters !
We are again sponsoring the 'Winkleigh in Bloom' competition that takes place during Winkleigh Fair Week.
Fancy entering?
Its £2 per entry and you can enter 1, 2 or all of the 3 categories for your own address in Winkleigh:
🌼 Best Hanging Basket / Window Box / Container
🌱 Best Small Garden
🌷 Best Large Garden
You must have an address in Winkleigh & be within walking distance of our shop on Exeter Road. The entrance fee goes to Winkleigh Fair Events & there are PRIZES too be won!
Pop in to the shop for an entrance form and the deadline to enter is 14th July as judging will take place on Wednesday 15th July. Winners will be announced on Winkleigh Fair Saturday 18th July.
