Do you remember the origin of the SLIM name?

It is related to its thin 15 mm bezel, providing the sleek appearance of the screen. However, this comes with a limit: We have not been able to build screens wider than 140" with this frame.
Now, as wider screens have been in demand, what if we slightly enlarge the bezel? After all, its width is perceived in proportion of the total screen size...
Well, a straight answer is: With a 20 mm wide bezel, we can build the SLIM up to 200 " wide. This is now a BIG SLIM!
From now on, you can purchase the SLIM at any size up to 200"wide.

Please look closely at the vertical scale of this MLSSA response graph
As you can see, there is a 2.5 dB difference in SPL between two horizontal lines. This means that the loudspeaker response lies within 2dB between 50 Hz and 10 kHz, smoothly sloping down beyond.
This level of linearity has been obtained from an Audio Excellence (Vertex 2) setup and a simple phone call to support the installer.

Magic? Not really: A DSP crossover allowed to linearise the response, and a bit of logic and common sense helped getting rid of an early reflection that dramatically impacted it.
It was that simple.

This Home Cinema has been installed by DHC in Uzes. With a nice star ceiling and comfy seating, it offers a cool and relaxing experience. But the main thing is the amazing sound performance from a very simple 7.1 layout.
The whole setup is based on Audio Excellence speakers and amplifiers: Vertex 2 are used as main "screen" speakers. They are completed by a pair of Raijuu 1 for bass extension, operating in mono. Two additional Raijuu 1 are used for LFE reproduction. All channels are operating in full range mode, hence avoiding the "Bass Management", as recommended in the Congard Code.
4 Solo 1 coaxial speakers are used as surround, fed with a delayed signal to enlarge the listening area beyond the "primary seat".

Marantz AV processor
SIM2 Crystal projector
Reavon BD player
Studio Bricks have been used for acoustic damping
Lutron and RTI home automation and light management
And, of course,
Screen Excellence 140" A.T.projection screen

The pristine sound quality, supported by detailed and deep bass, is merging seamlessly with a great picture for the enchanting customer experience. Kudos Didier!

A Raijuu in the Japanese mythology is a spirit of thunder. This is a symbolic characteristic of the Raijuu range of subwoofers, which are loud, fast and powerful.

The Raijuu loudspeakers are subwoofers operating from 20 Hz to 100 Hz. They are to be coupled to limited-range loudspeakers via an active DSP crossover.
