Feels colder today the leaves are changing for the new season. I’m getting excited to welcome Woven by Laura Miles and M.Hulot to Vanil on 25th 26th September beautiful collections you are very welcome to join us. Happy Thursday I’ve got my jumper box out. Are you changing your summer wardrobe. We are looking at new textiles for styling your home I love this time of year. 💙

Simple pleasures a wonderful afternoon chatting and eating the most delicious lunch with what a treat catching up with him and Dantes Ceramics we couldn’t stop smiling. It was wonderful to see Robbie bring together these delicious ingredients lots of herbs and seasonal vegetables with Guinness bread and whipped creamy butter. The table looked so pretty with vintage blue and white a vase full of hydrangeas and rosemary picked from the garden. Then to finish a pudding of homemade pie with fig custard. So inspired yesterday I made some vegetable soup - baked apples from the tree in the garden and roasted some beetroots that needed to be saved. It’s too easy to forget the small pleasures and I loved taking that hour in my kitchen before my day began. Today I’m going to try something new. Happy Wednesday all. 💙

Lovely catch up with Charl Lauren Bostock to chat about the new a/w collection. It’s coming soon with dates to follow for our pop up. This was our last window and I loved all the textures with textiles from Libeco Belgian Linen and ceramics from Dantes Ceramics - beautiful bags from M.Hulot who will be here with Woven by Laura Miles for another exciting pop up on the 25th September. It’s feels like a new chapter with light changing and fresh ideas to share. Happy Monday all have an exciting creative meet up this morning. Busy busy. 💙

Corners of my home. Always textures layers and colours. Collections of family treasures stories and a life once had. Had a lovely visit to ARTSPACE last night to see the gorgeous exhibition of art and ceramics Nicola Coe and Steven Will I couldn’t resist a gorgeous botanical delft blue plate and I’m going back this morning as it’s all so stunning. Started the weekend with the best view of the river I miss Waldringfield it hold so many special memories it’s a place to stand still and breath. Happy weekend there’s also Berry festival on the market hill today so please pop in if you can. We are open from 10.30 💙

Colourful Friday. The weather’s changed I’m listening to the sound of the trees blowing in our garden and it’s damp and cooler outside. Excited for our A World of Craft delivery of striped cushions in striking colour combinations all piled high. Adding colour lifts my mood and you’ll always find brights in the shop. Lots to tempt you with over the coming new season with ceramics art and textiles plus the wonderful collection of bags from M.Hulot and Woven by Laura Miles here for a pop up on the 25th September. They say Summers over but it’s still been a fabulous long weekend. The rain was a welcome for the garden and the sound on the boat was lovely when tucked up warm and dry. Had a wonderful visit to Claire Halsey home to collect our latest collection of the handmade and painted blue and white bowls. Totally scrummy they look so good on our table and I’ll style them into the next windows. A few have already sold and we also have the cups. Always an exciting inspiration I adore this stunning collection. Happy 1st September a new start to the season. Schools first day back and new beginnings- 💙

Lovely light on our restyled windows. It’s gorgeous at this time with a new feeling in the air. We are busy planning for Popup events welcoming new and existing brands - We are super happy to have the gorgeous paintings from Boo Compton and the creative Needlepoint collection from Sally-Ann Elliott both in a gorgeous colour palette which works perfectly in our Vanil interior. So happy to support these two local Artists. It’s a bank holiday weekend I hope the weather holds as we plan to stay on our boat. We are here today and tomorrow we even have chocolate. My heart is full right now I’m bursting with excitement for what’s to come. 💙

Morning. How are we all now the Summer is starting to come to an end. I get excited as autumn is really my favourite time of year. There’s a different feeling with a little bit of a nip in the air. We start to look at layers with jumpers and socks. The weekend away was fabulous going back to Middleburg in the Netherlands never disappoints. Such a an easy journey a bus then train from Rotterdam we stayed for two nights. We ate delicious food and returned to inspirational vintage and antique shops. I couldn’t resist the old embroidery pieces a beautiful platter and the gorgeous delft tiles which will start my collection for a fireplace. Maybe here or a new home one day. Lovely quality time with my godchildren who love vintage and all this wonderful country has to give. Delft was charming and there was a market with tables full of traditional blue and white ceramics. Lots to share on stories and we also have a restyled shops. Happy Wednesday all we are open today. Looking forward to staying on our boat this bank holiday taking time before the summer ends. 💙

Leaving home today for a few days in my favourite place. The Netherlands with gorgeous architecture stunning waterways and friendly people. I’m joining our lovely friends .mw as they come to the end of their summer adventures. Can’t wait todo some research finding new creatives and walking along the canals. Will fly into Rotterdam this morning then get a train to Middleburg I’m so excited to visit this gorgeous town again. We are also very lucky to have gorgeous Southwold on our doorstep and coming home is always a pleasure. Happy Thursday it’s market day will post lots of my journey in the coming days. In the meantime the shop is being restyled with Lars Gregersen beautiful ceramics and Minni Parker Designs and lots more. 💙

Lovely weekend finally started to take the cushions down to Amelia Rose. She my floating home with cushions and throws from our house. Lovely summer lunch in a friends garden her hydrangeas are always a treat. Said goodbye to the very last hydrangeas print from motherdaughtercreate there will be a new one coming in September so keep an eye for a new colour way. Happy Monday all have a lovely day I’ve a busy week as off to The Netherlands later so have planning todo for a restyle and meetings. 💙
