🚧 Progress Update: SWATC Project

Exciting progress is being made on our SWATC Project, an innovative approach that could help revolutionise the future of landfilling.

🌱 A vital step towards saving 88,000 tonnes of COβ‚‚ emissions per year.

Since starting the project in March, we’ve successfully completed the excavation phase and are now spray concreting the walls in preparation for testing our Fast-Gassing Solid Waste Anaerobic Treatment Cell. THE SWATC.

This innovative technology is designed to accelerate gas production, helping us recover valuable energy sooner while supporting a more sustainable approach to waste management.

We’re now looking ahead to the next phase of testing and will continue to share updates as the project develops.

πŸ”Ž Want to learn more about SWATC and our wider vision for the future of waste and sustainability?

πŸŽ‰ Our Growing Dome Prototype 2 is officially inflated!

After everything we learnt from our first prototype earlier this year, we're back with an improved design that's helping shape the future of our Growing Domes.

While the main dome is being prepared, we've already begun crop trials in the airlock.

Another exciting step forward on our journey. 🌱

We can't wait to share what's next! Follow our progress and learn more at sustainwiltshire.co.uk

On Monday, we at Sustain Britain and Sustain Wiltshire had the pleasure of speaking at the P.E.A. Awards MasterClass Day, sharing our vision and the actions we're taking to build more sustainable communities.

It was fantastic to discuss the practical steps we're taking to make a real difference in our community through our Growing Domes and the other projects we're developing in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Interested in learning more about how we're creating positive change for our local community? Join us on 18th September for this year's Sustain Conference, or find out more at sustainwiltshire.co.uk.

A huge thank you to the PEA Awards team for the opportunity and to everyone who joined us. We enjoyed sharing our journey and hearing your questions and ideas.

This Sunday, our Operations Director Vicky is taking on the London Marathon in support of Wiltshire Air Ambulance 🚁

Following a serious ACL injury in 2024, this is a huge milestone and an incredible effort for a truly life-saving cause.
