✨️Introducing The Unnamed Arts.
A Practical Magic inspired Collection.

Step beyond the garden gate and into a world where magic is woven through family, friendship, sisterhood, and the quiet rituals of everyday life.
The Unnamed Arts is a four-part yarn collection inspired by the enchanting world of Practical Magic — candlelit evenings, secret gardens, old spellbooks, mysterious potions and generations of women who carry magic within them.

Each of the four parts tells a different chapter of the story, drawing inspiration from moonlit forests, botanical gardens, ancient rituals, crystal balls, dried herbs, flickering fires and the deep, mysterious colours of the night.

Think mossy greens, midnight shadows, smoky plum, woodland brown, candlelit gold and touches of mystical silver — palettes created for those who love their crafting with a little darkness, a little romance and plenty of magic.

Four chapters.
One enchanted story.

I’d say sweater weather has officially started (for now!) even if the calendar insists it’s still August! A drop in temperature by 17° definitely feels like autumn, and I'm definitely NOT complaining.

Honestly, this Flax has been on the needles a little while, so there’s no going back now.

Pattern is The Flax by My go-to sweater pattern for an easy, mindless knit.

Yarn is Stylecraft special Aran in the Tawny colourway.

What's your go to sweater weather pattern?

It seems you can now post photos in the comments on some accounts.....finally!

So, show me what you're currently working on.

✨ FEEL GOOD FRIDAY ✨

It’s Friday, so let’s pause for a moment and celebrate the little things that make us feel good.

Maybe it’s that first sip of tea.
Maybe it’s a few peaceful rows of knitting.
Maybe it’s starting a new book that you can disappear into.
Maybe it's receiving my latest newsletter that was sent yesterday.
Or perhaps it’s simply having five quiet minutes to yourself.

I believe creativity isn’t just about making things — it’s about creating little moments of happiness along the way.

So tell me…
What’s making you feel good this Friday?

Leave your little bit of Friday joy in the comments, and let’s spread some happiness through our fibre-loving community.

2026 Business Reset ✨

2026 was the year of resetting, refocusing, and rebuilding at The Copper Kettle Fibre & Floss that I had planned for a little while.

I’d taken a good, honest look at my business — what I love creating, what my customers love, what works well, and just as importantly, what no longer feels right.

This reset was about being less overwhelmed and more about creativity. It’s about returning to the heart of why I started back in 2017: beautiful hand-dyed yarn, thoughtfully designed project bags, stitchy treasures, and creative experiences that feel a little bit magical.

Expect some more changes throughout the remainder of the year — new collections, refreshed clubs, exciting themes, special projects, and a few things you may not have seen from me before.

Some things will stay, some things will evolve, and some things will make way for something new.

Thank you for being part of my journey and for supporting my little creative business. I know some people don't like change and struggle with it, but I feel it's something that needs to be done 🧶🪡🧵

✨️A Midsummer Night’s Dream✨️

A Five-Part Quarterly Yarn Club.

Step into an enchanted summer evening with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a five-part quarterly yarn club inspired by moonlit woodlands, mischievous fairies, enchanted flowers and Shakespeare’s most magical comedy.
Across five beautifully curated instalments, each of the colourways will take you deeper into a dreamlike world where the boundaries between reality and enchantment begin to blur. Expect a palette of mossy woodland greens, dusky violets, soft lavender, midnight blues, antique golds and delicate floral shades, inspired by moonlit gardens and secret fairy realms.
Each quarterly parcel will feature specially hand-dyed colourways inspired by a different element of the story, creating a collection that unfolds like the chapters of a magical tale.
From the mysterious woodland and its sleeping flowers to the mischievous fairies, moonlit encounter, and the enchantment of Oberon and Titania, every skein will have its own story to tell.
Five quarters. Enchanted colourways. One magical midsummer story.
Whether you choose to knit, crochet, stitch or simply treasure the yarn, this club is designed for anyone who loves literature, folklore, fantasy and beautifully atmospheric colour.
Prepare to lose yourself in the dream… because in this woodland, anything can happen.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream — where every skein is touched by a little magic.

A Story in the Making — Make Along.

Every project has a beginning, a middle, and an ending… but the most beautiful part is the story we create along the way.

A Story in the Making is a 16-month (September 1st 2026 - 31st December 2027) creative Make Along celebrating the joy of slow making, cosy moments, and letting your imagination guide your stitches.

Each month brings a new inspirational prompt designed to encourage you to explore colour, texture, memories, seasons, books, and the little details that make a handmade project uniquely yours.

There are no rules about where your story must lead. You might knit, crochet, stitch, quilt, or create in another favourite craft.
You can follow the monthly inspiration literally or simply use it as a starting point for your own creative adventure.

By the end of the Make Along, you'll have more than a finished project — you'll have a story woven through every stitch, colour, and carefully chosen detail.

Make slowly. Dream often. Create your story.

September 1st - Chapter 1 — The First Page.

Begin your story:
Choose colours, materials, and ideas that feel like the perfect opening chapter.

I WILL PIN THIS POST FOR EASY ACCESS AND I'LL UPDATE ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH WITH EACH PROMPT.

THE NEXT PROMPT WILL BE ON OCTOBER 1ST.

You'll be able to share your projects & story via a Ravelry group that I've recently set up.

For social media, please do tag me in all your projects as not only would I absolutely love to see what you're creating, but I would love to share your work.

Happy world cross stitch day!

Stitching this piece, named The Wedding by Lavendar & Lace back in 2003, whilst I was pregnant with my eldest son, was my greatest stitching achievement.

We are now happily divorced 😬 so unfortunately, the wording means nothing, but I am going to change the dates to both my grandparents' wedding dates.

Cosy stripes in a soft cream, pinks, dreamy blues & gorgeous warm, autumnal tones, the needles have definitely been busy!

I'm definitely gearing up to my favourite time of the year, the BER months.

Something a little different!

Dungeon Crawler Carl — Quarterly Yarn Club.
Step into the dungeon… if you dare!
Inspired by the wildly chaotic world of Dungeon Crawler Carl, this quarterly yarn club is a colourful, irreverent adventure through monsters, mayhem, unlikely heroes and a very fabulous cat.
Each quarterly box will transport you deeper into the dungeon, with themed hand-dyed yarns inspired by the characters, creatures, challenges and unforgettable moments of the series. Expect bold colour combinations, fiery dungeon tones, mischievous surprises and plenty of feline attitude.
Every box is designed to feel like opening your very own Dungeon Crawl loot drop, with yarn created for knitters and crocheters who love their crafting adventures with a healthy dose of chaos.

Inside each quarterly box you can expect:
Hand-dyed yarn inspired by the Dungeon Crawler Carl universe.
Unique quarterly colourways.
Dungeon-themed surprises and extras.
A little something for the adventurer in you.
Plenty of opportunities to collect, craft and continue your journey.
Whether you're Team Carl, completely devoted to Princess Donut, or simply here for the goblins, explosions and questionable survival strategies, this club is your invitation to enter the dungeon and craft your way through it.
The dungeon awaits. The yarn is ready. Let the crawl begin!
