✨ DID YOU KNOW? Shining Magikarp & Shining Gyarados ✨
These aren't just two beautiful vintage Pokémon cards — they're a little piece of Pokémon TCG history.
Released in Neo Revelation in 2001, Shining Gyarados 65/64 and Shining Magikarp 66/64 were the first Shining Pokémon to appear in the English Pokémon TCG.
And notice those card numbers… 👀
The set only officially went up to 64.
That made this golden Magikarp and iconic red Gyarados the set's two Secret Rares — hidden beyond the normal set numbering.
🔴 Shining Gyarados takes inspiration from the legendary Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage.
🎨 Both feature artwork by legendary Pokémon artist Ken Sugimori.
From one of the weakest Pokémon in existence…
…to one of the most feared.
Gold ➡️ Red
More than 20 years later, these two are still amongst the most iconic cards of the entire Neo era.
