Hi I’m Elizabeth Hannah, a country girl born and bred in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Teme Valley Worcestershire. The youngest of 4 daughters both my parents ran their own businesses in which me and my sisters were very much involved with from a young age, teaching us many business and personnel skills as well as the practical skills that have helped me to create Elizabeth Hannah Home
today. My father was a timber merchant and we lived on a sawmill, growing up around timber construction and carpenters definitely aided my knowledge for woodwork as well as being in a customer based environment, we learnt from a young age customer care skills and how to run a business. My mother alongside helping my father also had a business making blinds for 30 years, many hours were spent in her workshop sewing up and making orders and of course we were roped in to help on many occasions. My mother installed into us all the art of sewing and creating with fabrics, and there was always a sewing machine out on the dining room table. Either for making home furnishings, clothes or repairs, it was always in constant use. My father insisted my sisters and I all had our own sewing machine by the time we were 16 years old. I always had a love and passion for creating items on the sewing machine from a very young age, but as I grew up it went into the direction of my love for home interiors altogether. As an adult I worked various jobs and had various careers all aided by my knowledge for running a business due to my upbringing and help from my parents and siblings. Most recently I worked as a business development manager and marketing manager helping other businesses reach their full potential. But I still always had my passion for making home interiors as a side project, and I was often asked to make home furnishings for friends, family and the locals, which I enjoyed very much and it allowed me to be my creative self as well as earning a few pennies on the side. When coronavirus hit in 2020 I was subject to working from home with very little to do, so I decided to pick up my hobby and I got the sewing machine out and started creating more designs then I ever had before. With people investing in their homes at that current time I found myself in high demand for making bespoke items for more and more customers. This really inspired me to pursue my passion more seriously and this was the perfect opportunity and time to do so. With my skills in business development and a creative flare for home interiors I decided to build my own business up using my passion for doing something I truly loved and that I knew would bring me joy to do full time. Being creative every day and passionate about my work really does make work and life so much more enjoyable, and I get a massive thrill out of making my customers feel happy and special with the services and products I provide. Now I had more time for my interiors business I really could go to town with the products and services I had to offer, having previously been on numerous upholstery courses I was now able to offer my love for upholstering also. I also always had a big passion for re-designing and repairing furniture, taking something old and out of date and giving it a new lease of life brings me so much joy. This allowed me to get really creative and offer something totally unique and special to my customers. I gained myself a great reputation of re-designing furniture for previous customers that it snowballed and I was getting more and more work. The wow factor you get when you see the end result was really exciting for both me and the customer. So I then decided to start doing short “start to finish” videos of how it was done and the end results, this has become very popular on my social media platforms and I post these videos weekly. Head over to my Facebook and Instagram to check out these videos and some of my work for yourself. Now Elizabeth Hannah Home is my full time passion which I run from my very own studio, I aim to provide the best quality work possible as well as top notch customer care. So please feel free to message me with any questions or inquiries. Not only do I have an online shop selling my home furnishings and furniture that I have re-designed myself, but I also take on a lot of commission work in which I can re-design customers’ existing furniture, and the fun part about that is the customer can use their own creativity to recreate the look they want, with my help and opinions if they need it. I’m really proud of Elizabeth Hannah Home and the customers and followers I have gained along the way, and I’m looking forward to it growing even more. I hope you enjoy my items, please let me know what you think. Best Wishes,
Elizabeth Hannah x
