Comer C50G engine, full rebuild with new piston, coil, clutch, small end and all the usual rebuild trimmings.

Potential to be a very good club engine and scope for improvement. Data taken from one 10 minute test run at Tattershall on 5/9/26 showing decent figures for a fresh build. (Fastest lap of c50 final on 6/9/26 - 1.00.08)

Don’t be tight!

Little one wanted to spend £5 a pair on some dodgy card 3d cinema glasses pretending to be for the solar eclipse! No chance!

Why spend when you have the perfect tool for the job!

Now, this would have been fine, although the eldest timed cooking their pizza perfectly with the eclipse. Safe to say they weren’t happy when I swiftly removed it from the oven, part cooked and left with the tray!

Needs must, although the results were questionable.

These 2 little ones have, until next week been tucked up in their cradles. These will be fully cleaned, prepared and measured ready for a new home.

They will be supplied having had a full rebuild, new piston kits and that rarity, solid clutches! Complete with carbs, for just £1250 each.

Good club motors with the benefit of having the Ontrack once over!

I have very limited time currently to reply to everyone so please bare with me if you have messaged.

I have a couple of engines that have just arrived and all the usual bits for sale but engine builds and repairs are all now next week. I will be advertising parts to be sold on a first pay, first post basis, starting with a set of used Wright rims with new lecont tyres. Sold!

Tip of the day!

I am often asked ‘how long can you leave fuel in the tank and carb after use?’

The answer is DON’T!

If you want proof then take a look at this float needle taken from a C50 where it had been left for a period of time and full of fuel.

Evidence that higher ethanol content fuel degrades rubber in the carb and damages them.

Result - non starter, stuck float needle and zero fuel flow.

Solution - empty the fuel as part of your maintenance schedule after every weekend or outing, especially if sat for a week or more.
