With all this talk recently about the vortex bodyshell, not looking like a touring car, or any kind of car anyone would want to be seen with, I thought it would be cool to snap it next to one of the finest looking touring cars the world has ever seen, the 1996 Volvo 850 BTCC just to highlight the differences.

A grid full of actual scale looking touring cars would be amazing, but would the lack of performance be made up by the looks? Would the crowds be as impressed as they are with the speed and handling of modern jelly mould TCs? 🤔

What are your thoughts on the way touring cars are going?

*Just a footnote, I run a Zooracing Panterra with a racecar derived paint scheme, so I'm excused from judgement... 😂😂😂

Cleanup underway! Completely stripped, broken gearbox casing but I'll just glue that and bolt it back together

New set of bearings turned up yesterday to replace the melted and worn bushings.

Then it's reassemble and fudge the cracks in the body back together.

Super cool doing this with the littlest pest.
