To get the feels, observe the curves, how the light falls…

It might be more from there, or not, depending on how each additional interacting stem works. This time there were more. That’s for another day.

Looking forward to being back Colonnade House in just over a week, with a solo exhibition filled with beautiful botanicals.

Prints will be available in a selection of sizes including aluminium and MDF mounted work, popular at previous events for their simplicity, and TULIP GARDEN, here, is one of them.

Dahlias and Cosmos. One from the archives as the ones I’m growing myself aren’t quite ready but they’re on the way.

I have an allotment now- 2 patches- one for veggies and the other for flowers. As if I have nothing else to do…😁

Tulips in August anyone?

It’s World Photography Day tomorrow and this year, the theme is HOME.

For me, a home is not a home without flowers in it somewhere, be it outside or in, in a vase in a book or magazine or as an artwork.

I’m proud to say photography and flowers is my career, too, and integral to a happy life, there to soothe the soul, when life is not so happy.

I’m thrilled to now have my work with Artfinder , and, be featured with this print on their World Photography Day promotion. Already!

Being with Artfinder alongside so much luscious art is humbling, and spreads ‘my’ word globally so much more than my website can. I’m not great with keeping up with SEO and all the other bits and pieces of business admin because I want that time to create.

There was a time when my Instagram feed consisted of art work I loved. Not now, sadly, but Artfinder has to be the next best thing. Check it out!

I’m so pleased to be in my local area for this exhibition Colonnade House. It’s nice occasionally to not have to travel, or stay in accommodation but to enjoy a beautiful seaside walk to this jewel of a venue in Worthing. It will also be my first solo exhibition.

Coming with me are a few new prints, including ‘Beach Garden’, featuring some the seaside wildflowers peppered over our beach, and ‘ Tulipa Apricot Parrot’, a study of the exuberance of parrot tulips fully open, like dancers, amongst other favourites not previously exhibited here before.

The Dahlias are on their way and I’m so looking forward to working with them again.

Like Tulips, but maybe not so classic, they are impactful visually, and can be either soft and subtle or loud and proud.

I like to think of this as soft and subtle with complementary colours and textures of Achilles with splashes of apricot and purple with Cosmos and Verbena. The Geums would like to be loud and proud, though. I’ll let them.

Balance. Yin and Yang and all that…
