I just wanted to share a personal update with you all. This past year (plus) has been really challenging for me and my family. As some of you may know, our eldest son is autistic, we've been working hard to get the right education and support he needs, including fighting with the Lancashire county council to secure the funding he needs for education. It's been a tough road balancing my business which is just me and all of the personal challenges that came with this.

I really want to take a moment to thank every single one of you for your support, your patience, and for sticking with me through it all. Having children out of education isn't easy.

Yesterday we got the news that our son will be able to return to school, this is the biggest achievement and fight of my life, and at times has taken over. If you know... then you know!

My business has honestly saved me, working outdoors and being creative is my haven and safe place, where I can clear my head and find inner peace. Knowing that you're all here supporting my little flower farm means the world to me. You've kept me motivated through the darkest days. Flowers are my life and passion, and it's an honour to share with you.

After Mother's day week, I've tried to take it slow. Pricking out my hardy annuals, giving them more room in fresh compost and sowing hundreds more seeds.
Making field notes. It's been a very busy winter with lots of field completing projects ready for the growing year. I hope this is the year to invite you in and enjoy the floral abundance.

From next week it's time to wake the Dahlias up and prepare their new beds for the summer.

One tip for your garden at this time of year is to give your pots a good water with a seaweed feed. They will thank you for it!
