Let’s kick start the weekend with some vintage florals!🌺

Time to join in with the fabulous for

If you saw my stories last weekend you may have spotted this wooden box in the back of my little van👀

It’s a vintage midcentury wooden cantilever sewing box with a rose fabric design on the top. A handy drawer (which can be a little stiff to open & close) and a sturdy carry handle.

Well made with dovetail joints and measuring 30 cms (W) x 19 cms (H) excluding handle x 17.5 cms (D).
Could also be used as a hobby, craft or jewellery box.

A makeshift repair has been made to one of the hinges (which does the job perfectly), otherwise in lovely condition.

Price: £24 (which will include the sweet little French pin cushion).

Today’s theme is ‘Around the world’🌎

One of my recent finds (and a first for me!) is this vintage Bokhara style wool rug from Lahore, Pakistan.

These rugs are frequently hand knotted in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Turkey using rich jewel tones such as deep reds, rusts, ivory, or navy. Culminating in traditional timeless elegant rugs that give a luxurious velvety feel under bare feet.

Measuring 170 cms x 133 cms it’s what I’d call a medium size and perfect for adding some faded country house grandeur to your home!🏡

There are some areas of staining which I’ve tried to show in the photos, otherwise it really is a beautifully time worn rug with grey fringing to two edges.

Also available is the vintage African hand carved wooden spoon. 30 cms long.

I hope everyone’s had a relaxing day and not had to carry any heavy baskets on their head like these women once did!

One of my latest finds, this is an antique framed print entitled “Gwisgiadau Cymreig - Return from Market, Gower, Glamorgan”. Featuring women returning from a market wearing traditional Welsh attire.

It’s a line engraving produced by Rock & Co. London which was published on the 1st May 1853 and features early hand colouring.

Measuring 38.5 cms x 31 .5 cms and in very good condition, it’s now listed in my eBay shop (link in my profile) or feel free to message me here.

Not my usual post for but something special happened yesterday.

The gorgeous flowers are from hubby after I told him that when I visited mum in the care home yesterday (she’s in the latter stages of dementia) I gave her a big hug and she squeezed me back and smiled. I can’t tell you how much better it made me feel!💞

Mums name is Iris and can you spot some in the bunch hubby bought?🥹

It really is the little things folks so keep on looking for those little glimmers ❤️

My thinking today was hopefully you’ll find time this bank holiday weekend to enjoy a favourite hobby or spend time relaxing with loved ones.

So with that in mind I’ve chosen this vintage wicker fishing/picnic basket, a traditional wicker shopping basket, a midcentury wicker wine bottle holder/pourer and a wicker & melamine teapot stand/tea tray. You could call it my 😂

Starting the working week with a Victorian antique pine blanket box and a pretty pastels welsh tapestry blanket……what’s not to love?!

The antique pine blanket box is a lovely compact size if you’re after something smaller that’s not too bulky or heavy.

Measuring 63 cms (W) x 38 cms (H) x 34 cms (D) it’s a solid handcrafted piece with dovetail joints, brass lock (sadly no key) and metal handles.

Price: £80✨

Midcentury vintage Welsh wool tapestry blanket featuring the iconic Caernarfon Portcullis pattern. Reversible in the sought after pastel combination of powder blue, salmon/coral pink, cream and small accent pops of lemon.

Measuring 190 cms x 134 cms plus the fringes it will cover a single bed but also perfect as a runner across a double or king.

Feeling very blessed for all the love shown for this past week so just wanted to say a huge diolch yn fawr!

There’s been plenty of weeks with no sales so think it’s only right I celebrate that all these vintage treasures have just left or about to leave HQ in the next day or two!

So a busy day of wrapping and packing tomorrow for which I’m truly grateful🙏🏻❤️
