Just listed in my eBay shop (link in my profile), a set of 6 mid century Scottish souvenir shot glasses. Each one depicting a well known Scottish landmark - the Forth bridge, Burn’s cottage, Edinburgh castle, Loch Lomond, the Scott monument Edinburgh and the Blacksmiths shop Gretna Green. All in very good condition.

A quirky addition to a home bar or a unique gift for someone with a connection to Scotland.

Seemed appropriate to post this on a Sunday…….

a beautiful oak welsh chapel plaque which translates to ‘God is head of the house’.

Hand carved gothic font with hand painted gold effect lettering.

Measuring 64 cms (W) x 19.5 cms (H) x 2.5 cms (D) and ready to hang.

It’s a one off find from this week that I doubt I’ll ever come across again (and a hard one to part with!) so please get in touch quick if it’s of interest before it gets listed in my eBay shop. You get first dibs here!🤎

Bore da folks! A date for your diaries……..

6 weeks today, this is where you’ll find me!

I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be bringing my vintage treasures to Tŷ Pawb in my hometown of Wrexham for the The Artisan Market Company vintage flea organised by the wonderful The Stellar Boutique

It was a huge success back in March and I’m very excited to be returning in October!

Wrexham AFC are at home to Preston that day with a 3pm kick off so I’m hoping they’ll be a buzz around town with plenty of time for people to pop into Tŷ Pawb before kick off! It’s the perfect indoor venue with eateries, plenty of places to sit and a car huge carpark above. Dog friendly too!

I’ve not stood at many fairs this year for various reasons so it would be amazing to have your support and see some of you there, I hope you can make it!

Prynhawn da folks!

Just finished cleaning and waxing (and listing for sale) this very stylish antique mahogany wine or side table with a decorative pie crust top. Definitely my find of the week so far!🌟

In the Chippendale style with tripod legs, it does have some imperfections on the top but it just adds to its story and charm (and is reflected in the price).

I’m a huge fan of these little tables that you can move around and style up. Just so versatile and classy and suitable for any room.

Measurements: 35 cms (D) x 50.5 cms (H)

Time to join in with hosted by with today’s theme being ‘on my table’.

It’s been a busy couple of days sourcing stock so right now there’s quite a lot on my kitchen table including this rather special antique Welsh Gaudy porcelain tea set in the ‘Tulip’ pattern. Sometimes called the ‘Welsh Daffodil’ locally and considered to be the oldest and most enduring pattern of the Welsh Gaudy tradition.

The style emerged in the 1820’s as a working class alternative to the high end Japanese Imari porcelain and later named by collectors for its vibrant and heavily decorated look popular in Welsh mining communities. Proudly displayed on Welsh cottage dressers up and down the land, locals traditionally referred to it as ‘Swansea Cottage’. Produced by some Welsh factories (such as the Cambrian Pottery in Swansea) the vast majority of it was mass produced over in Staffordshire.

Set comprises of 6 tea cups, 5 saucers, 5 side plates and a jug. It does have some imperfections which is reflected in the price.

Diolch yn fawr to the lovely owner Jayde for smartening up the dresser for me with a lick of paint and who opened up the shop today so I could pop in to add my vintage treasures!

We’re bursting with excitement to be back after the summer holidays and hope if you’re local to Wrexham you’ll pop in to support Jayde and all us other locals who either make or supply the goods in the gift shop side. Today’s offering is this pretty vintage wooden Matryoshka Nesting Doll (often referred to as a Russian nesting doll). As there’s only the two in this set I’m calling it mother and daughter!

Featuring painted faces and a prominent hand painted floral design, these dolls traditionally symbolised family, fertility, and folklore. Would make a unique and thoughtful gift for a mother or daughter or sister to sister!💕

A beautiful Victorian Welsh tea party spill vase for

Originally made to hold taper matches for lighting the fire but also lovely for displaying sprigs or stems of flowers.

Featuring hand painted figures wearing traditional 19th century Welsh costumes gathered around a small table enjoying tea and cake.

Many of these novelty fairings were manufactured in Germany for the British souvenir market starting in the late 19th century.
