🎉 A New Chapter Begins in Wrexham! 🎉

We're delighted to celebrate the Grand Opening of H&T Wrexham!

Formerly Martin Rees Jewellers, we're proud to continue serving the local community from the same location, now as part of the H&T family. Alongside new and pre-owned jewellery, we now also stock a range of luxury watches and handbags. We'll also be continuing with pawnbroking and gold buying along with the introduction of travel money and western union transfers.

We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this transition possible. We'd also like to wish Ruth and Martin a long, happy and well-deserved retirement, and thank them for their many years of dedicated service to the Wrexham community.

Here's to an exciting new chapter, we look forward to welcoming you in store soon!

The transformation continues… I like the way they’ve managed to combine modern with traditional, in the shop front. Still some issues with the phones this morning, I believe - but should be resolved pretty soon now. And H&T’s retail stock will be going into place in the next few days… exciting times

I will be handing this page over to H&T very shortly now, but I expect I will still keep posting a few updates on the shop’s progress on this new stage of its journey, on my own news feed!

Thinking of our lovely ladies from the “Martin Rees Family” who are working so hard to learn all that’s needed for their new roles, sending love to each of you - you’re gonna smash it out the park!

And finally massive THANK YOU to you all, again, from Martin and me, for all the love and good wishes that have come our way in the last couple of months. It’s been really heart-warming and made a difficult time much easier - Ruth

A WORK IN PROGRESS!

I popped in to see how the transformation of our shop to a branch of H&T Pawnbrokers, is coming on. There’s still a fair way to go, but they’re getting there… lots of people working very hard on different aspects of it…
Don’t panic if you ring the shop on its old phone number and get a message “You’ve dialled an incorrect number”… Calls to the old number will be forwarded in due course, but it’s not been sorted yet…
Emails and FB messages come through to me, and I will pass them on - but, Martin and I are taking things very easy at the moment as we recover from the incredible pressure and chaos of the transfer! So it might take a little while before you hear back.

.and just like that the final week is here!

The last day you can come into Martin Rees Jewellers and Pawnbrokers is THIS SATURDAY, still some bargains to be had.

Just another two weeks to go till our final day of trading as Martin Rees Jewellers, on Saturday 27th June.

The displays are looking a bit sad now, with lots of empty spaces. But there are still some great bargains to be had, and we’ve even found the time to put a few fresh items into stock.

Gold jewellery without a Sale label, is reduced, but we don’t have time to do more labels – so just ask if you see something you like, and we will work it out. Mostly they will be at least a third off, or maybe a bit more…

We will still be buying gold and silver right up to the 27th, but only for the metal content, so any big diamond rings and the like, either come back in July, or maybe pop to Chester if it’s urgent.

We have had to stop booking repairs in now, till July when we re-open - this does include watch batteries and bracelet adjustments I’m afraid. Once H&T take over, they will be offering a much better watch repair service than we have been able to for the last few years, and of course a full range of jewellery repairs as well.

Last orders on the website will be 10am on Tuesday 23rd June
