A lovely tribute to a lovely man. Will be sadly missed.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Hurn, a highly valued member of the Alan R Cross & Son Ltd family, who dedicated 40 years of his life to the company. Kevin's unmatched technical expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence made him an invaluable asset to the firm, and his legacy will live on through the countless engineers who trained under his mentorship.
Throughout his career, Kevin was known for his exceptional skill and precision, always leading by example and setting the standard for quality in every project he undertook. His dedication to his craft and his willingness to share his knowledge ensured that each engineer who walked through the doors of Alan R Cross & Son Ltd benefited from his guidance.
Kevin’s contribution to the company went far beyond technical ability—he was a mentor, a teacher, and a friend to all who worked alongside him. His influence shaped the careers of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all those who had the privilege of learning from him.
Outside of work, Kevin loved Wymondham and gave his time serving as local and district councilor, Wymondham Mayor and many other local charities and organisations and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of skill, dedication, and service that will never be forgotten.
Kevin will be sorely missed, but his impact on Alan R Cross & Son Ltd, Wymondham and the people whose lives he touched will endure for years to come. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time.
