πΏ Sunday Stitching Thoughts πΏ
This weekend I travelled by train to visit my best friend, and of course my Pumpkin Spice Crochet Along came along for the journey.
Something lovely happened on both train rides.
A fellow passenger struck up a conversation after noticing my crochet. One told me how amazing he thought it was and I displayed real skill, and another said she'd love to learn herself (she later clarified she *wanted* to learn, not that she felt she *should!* π).
It got me thinking...
To many of us who sew, quilt, knit or crochet, picking up our latest project is just part of everyday life. We don't always think twice about it.
But to someone looking on, those same stitches can seem like a real skill and something they may never be able to do.
Sometimes we become so familiar with what we can do that we forget how far we've come. Every blanket, quilt, bag or little project started with learning and practice.
So if you've ever thought your craft was "nothing special", perhaps remember that someone else might be looking at it with complete admiration.
Have you ever had a stranger stop to chat about something you've been making? I'd love to hear your story. π
Wishing you all a happy, stitch-filled Sunday.
