What makes my business special?
I thought I would do a post to explain what Everlasting Memory Keepsakes is about and how it is different from a lot of memorial companies.
Firstly, my business was born through a devastating loss. Losing my mum was the hardest time of my life and something I will never truly get over. Starting my memorial business is my way of keeping her memory alive.
I make donations to the hospital from money generated through sales as a tribute to my mums memory. So something good comes from something sad.
There are lots of companies that make memorial jewellery but often the only chance people get to see examples of it is at the funeral directors where there are usually a few small displays. People are at their lowest point trying to arrange a funeral for a loved one and often they are so desperate to have something to cherish that they feel they need to sort it there and then.
I have a stand at the McArthurglen Designer Outlet in York every Tuesday with countless examples of different designs and colours to choose from. I am able to arrange for bespoke designs in a range of precious metals to make the piece you choose a perfect reminder of your someone special. I can also offer engraving to further personalise your jewellery.
Being available at an accessible place also means you can bring your ashes and other inclusions in person. Posting something so precious is a worry for everyone but I can alleviate those concerns. You can collect your chosen jewellery and get the personal service people should get with something so meaningful.
If you come to meet me, you are meeting the person who not only understands how you are feeling and what you are going through but also the one who will create your memorial piece. Its just me. No big factory, no production line. Just me, at home, in my office working through one order at a time.
Knowing how much comfort it brings being able to keep a lost loved one close to you is my motivation. It spurs me on to make sure each item is perfect. I love my job. I love the people I meet. I love listening to the stories about how amazing your person or pet was. It drives me to do the best job I can because I know at the end of it, it will bring the smallest amount of relief and I am responsible for that.
I hope this post has given you an insight into why I am different and as always, if you have any questions, I am always happy to answer.
Lots of love, Clare ###
