🌱♻️ Exciting New Reuse Initiative! ♻️🌱

We’re delighted to announce that The Recycle Project CIC has started working alongside Yorwaste, North Yorkshire Council, and OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) on an exciting new reuse initiative designed to get reusable items back into schools to support learning, creativity and play.

Last week, we completed our first collection from Leeming Bar Household Waste Recycling Centre, with the items being delivered to Richmond Methodist School, where they’ll be given a new lease of life in educational projects instead of going to waste.

This is exactly what reuse is all about – turning unwanted items into valuable resources, reducing waste, and inspiring the next generation through creative learning opportunities.

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this project and are excited to see it grow as we work to support schools across York and North Yorkshire in the months ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. Here’s to many more successful collections and even more items finding a second life where they’re needed most! 💚

📢 Exciting News from The Recycle Project CIC! 📢

After years of growing, learning, and supporting our community, we’re delighted to share that we are now officially in the process of relocating to a new premises!

This move marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Recycle Project CIC. While we’re not quite ready to reveal all the details yet, our new location will give us the opportunity to expand what we do, develop new initiatives, and create an even greater impact within our community.

As we begin preparing our new premises, we are looking for an individual or organisation interested in taking over the lease on our current site. If you think this could be of interest to you or someone you know, please get in touch with us directly.

We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. Over the coming months we’ll be working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, with some ambitious new projects and opportunities planned for late 2026 and early 2027.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us on our journey so far. Your encouragement, donations, purchases, and belief in our mission have helped make this next step possible.
