The Sophie Scarf by has been a quick knit.

I managed to finish it this morning whilst keeping my eye on a certain cat attacking the mice on the tree.

A quick sprint across the living was needed to prevent the tree from going over. 😅 🌲 🐭

The other day I almost ordered pom buttons from an Etsy seller as I wasn’t sure where mine were but thankfully today I came across a few. 😅

It’s a year ago that this garland was made from leftovers from making sock blockers. Hopefully next year they’ll be available to order.

Starting the day off with some sheep before heading to the lockup to hunt for the majority of my knitting needles.

If I could only find my knitting needles, I’d start a mummy and me set for my nephew’s wife and their baby girl.

I’ve been looking after my nephew's children, who are one year old and six years old, twice a week for the last three months. It’s lovely to be around family again, but not so great when school ask if you are their grandma. 😂

The shipping company arrive tomorrow with more than half of our belongings. It’ll be so nice to surround ourselves with familiar items but at the same time I know there is more chaos ahead before this new place feels like home.

I know that once the cats arrive tomorrow evening the chaos will be at another level. 😆😻

We lost my sweet beautiful mum yesterday morning, which was totally unexpected. The plan to move back here was to spend more time with her and my dad. She cried the day I told her that our offer had been accepted on the house as we’d only be living 45 minutes away from them. We were all ready to make many memories together.

Instead, we had seven short weeks but we wouldn’t have had that if we hadn’t moved back. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

She’s left a huge hole in our hearts and will be missed every single day. She was loved so much. ❤️

The Flock drawstring bag by weichien 蔚倩] has been a fun knit!

It was cast on at Calgary airport as a distraction to what was ahead and has helped me through some low days.

It’s not been easy being back and we’re still struggling on a daily basis to adjust to a country that hasn’t been home for 12 years.

We’ve yet to find a place to call home but until then, more knitting will be done.
