What a season so far! Even with the cold winds and lack of high temperatures in Yorkshire, our bees have taken full advantage of any nice spells. We're seeing rapid expension and colonies dripping in nectar.

We'll not count our chickens but it bodes well for the rest of the year.

Theres a good chance the 2026 nucs will be bursting in weeks.

It might feel like winter is round the corner but our friendly farmer has planted 100's of acres of cover crop which is providing oodles of pollen and late nectar for the bees to get themselves ready for winter.

If you look closely you'll see the flashes of purple which is Phacelia. One of the honey bees favourites!
