Happy 150th birthday to Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley. Designer of many locomotives for the GNR in its later years, but also of many locomotives of the LNER like mallard and Flying Scotsman. But did you know, he designed an electric locomotive in 1941? LNER number 6701, better known later as the EM1/ class 76.
