6 years ago after decades in York we moved back to our roots 3 miles from the city centre.
🧵We have always held our classes here, and it has given us room to expand our offering of everything we can connected with hand and machine sewing.
🧵Our ground floor sets out our tapestry wools and canvases, plus our framing and cushion making up and mail order.
🧵Upstairs we have great rooms for all our cotton quilting fabrics, needlework, beading and a whopping, light, airy classroom.

Busy weekend ahead! Open both days. Lots new in the embroidery room , kits, books, silk threads and variegated ribbons, work lights, gadgets, Christmas fabrics and panels. Have you seen the nativity soft book yet? Just lots!

A neat solution for classes. Folds into a compact rectangle, just slip it into a pocket! No need for trailing cables all of the time. There is satisfaction in a gadget that does just what you need and no more, and does it with simplicity and style.

New in. Nativity Fabric book to make up, and a matching panel! Lovely print, pretty and very straightforward to make! We love it!

A fun day yesterday making these. EPP can be confusing and frustrating until you get the hang of it. Having a tutor on hand and constant tea certainly helped.
Lynn's next workshop is in November.

Embroidery? We have Zweigart fabrics, DMC and Edmar threads, scissors, needles, frames, lights......
Fabrics? We have quilting cottons and panels, and a dressmaking selection.
Beading.
Classes and workshops.
And a fabulous venue.

We had a busy day. Lots of making going on! How are your creative muscles, are they getting enough exercise? If you want inspiration try the YTA show in the cemetery chapel today- such a diverse range of creative textile art.

Fran, our freehand machining specialist, Friday person, and also guilty of writing these posts, is let out to play this weekend. The York Textile Artists are exhibiting at the gorgeous Cemetery Chapel. Demos across a range of disciplines, pop up shop and coffee! Fran is on duty on Sunday but today' s line up is really exciting.
