FOR SALE…….After a long break I’ve finally got back in my workshop and finished a beautiful Welsh Yew coffee table with hairpin legs 😀 It is about 450 years old and comes from an ancient Yew tree in the churchyard at Strata Florida Abbey

Dimensions are: 79cms long, 47cms at widest point and 48cms high

Yesterday I had a lovely drive out over the mountains to buy these amazing Yew planks off 😃 Huge thanks to Emma for letting me have first pick of her planks.
I normally only use timber I have felled and planked myself but I think these planks will make some stunning resin tables!! I’m so excited about how these will turn out! Think they’d make amazing Chefs Tables or it a statement piece dining table!! If anyone is interested please DM me 👍

Fresh logs for our sawmill…. It’s been too wet to get there for 6 months 😬 Finally it’s frozen enough to make it….. just 😀

Lisa is happy my last project of the year is finished in time for the New Year. Our smallest bedroom that was hardly ever used, we’ve converted to a chilling out room with desk for myself and sofa bed for kids visiting. It’s also the only room we have that gets the evening sunset in the summer 😊 It’s all Oak with a few of my own design ideas!

My latest project I’ve been working on for a while…..a bespoke larch porch for in our village.
Lauren & Aled asked if I could make a nice porch from locally sourced timber. Felled only a couple of miles away, we milled, shaped, constructed and erected the wooden part of the porch. Very pleased with the finish 😊 and just in time for Xmas 🎄

My first Strata Florida Abbey Yew Vase 😀 Yesterday morning this was an off-cut heading for the fire. Now it’s a beautiful contemporary vase (not for water) sanded to a glass like finish.
Only £20 p&p this will make a lovely Xmas present.

I can make these to different sizes if anyone would like one or with multiple holes 😊

Finished my new Oak Slab desk 😀 Cut from a dead tree I felled a few years ago, it’s 1.3m wide & 50mm thick. The leg comes from the same tree and it’s all finished in
No excuses not to have my paperwork in order now 🤣
now wants a new desk for her office 😊

My new solid oak topped drawers finished 😀 My own design after I wanted oak drawers but couldn’t find any I liked. So I cut the bottom drawer & base off a set of dark dyed pine drawers we bought years ago.
The top is 2” thick oak from a tree I felled, planked & finished with 😊 The oak legs are from the same branch and quartered!
In one of pics you will see a marble I’ve added this was after Lisa thought I’d lost my marbles when I came up with the design 🤣 Love to know your thoughts on it please?!
