One of our VTS Officers Michael Steven Ward is currently in Mexico undertaking The Double Deca Ultratriathlon of the continuous variant which leads over a total distance of 4,520 kilometres. This epic race includes a jaw-dropping 76 km swim, a mind-boggling 3,600 km bike ride, and an astounding 844 km run – essentially, it's like tackling 20 iron-distance triathlons all at once!

The team here in Guernsey are egging 'Wardy' on as he battles harsh conditions in this unbelievable physical and mental struggle, which most never finish, whilst waving the Guernsey flag.
