A Background of the Company:
The Company, Precious Minerals Marketing Company Limited (PMMC) was first established in 1963 as Diamond Marketing Board with the sole responsibility for the purchase and marketing of Ghana’s diamonds.

The present name, Precious Minerals Marketing Company Limited (PMMC) was effected in the year 2000 when it was converted by Act 461 (Statutory Corporations Conversion to Companies Act) to a limited liability Company to operate under the Ghana Companies Act (Act 179 of 1963)

PMMC is 100% owned by the Government of Ghana. We are not a subverted agency of Government. We are autonomous – ie we generate our own income, spend, declare profit and pay dividend to Government
