Amba Art Gallery started in 2006 and developed a global reputation for sourcing and discovering extraordinarily fine and creative African Traditional Art, including rare and unique sculptures from the Ghanaian and West African heritage and also exceptional handwoven textiles from the great weavers of Ashanti and Ewe and extraordinary metal work from the pre-colonial Gold Coast era to modern Ghana. By displaying modern art alongside the traditional art, the gallery underscores the powerful cultural connection to the past that ‘breathes life and fire’ into the works of present day African artists.

An exhibition of some of Ghana’s finest and oldest Kente fabrics has been held at the Peduase Valley Resort at Aburi in the Eastern Region. The fabrics are a collection by Amadu Baba, a Ghanaian artifact collector and owner of amber gallery has been gathering the materials over the past four decades.
the event dubbed “Weaved with pride & love” was aimed at celebrating the Ghanaian culture by “creating a nostalgic atmosphere to embrace the country’s heritage.”
