Sharing medicine can feel like caring — but sometimes, the safest thing you can share is good advice instead.

A medicine that worked for you may not be right for someone else. The other person could have a different condition, allergy, body weight, health history, or may already be taking another medicine that changes what is safe for them.

This is especially important with antibiotics, prescription medicines, children’s medicines, inhalers and leftover medication from a previous illness.

Instead of saying, “Take this, it worked for me,” try:

“Let’s ask the pharmacist first.”

That one question could prevent an avoidable medication mistake.

A fever can feel like malaria… but fever does not automatically mean malaria. 🌡️

Headache, body pains, weakness and a high temperature can happen with malaria, but they can also be caused by other infections and illnesses.

That’s why immediately reaching for antimalarial medicine without testing may mean treating the wrong condition — while the real cause of the fever goes unchecked.

If you suspect malaria:

✅ Get tested where possible
✅ Speak with a pharmacist or healthcare professional
✅ Avoid self-diagnosing based on symptoms alone
✅ Seek medical attention if symptoms are severe or getting worse
