EMPOWERING SMES. EXPANDING MARKETS. DRIVING GHANA'S ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION.
The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFCL), in collaboration with the Republic Bank Ghana, successfully hosted SME Connect 2026, a capacity-building and business linkage programme under the theme:
"Accelerating Business Growth and Market Access – From Local Success to New Markets."
The programme brought together SMEs, and key stakeholders, to equip entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen their businesses, improve competitiveness and access new market opportunities. Participants benefited from expert-led sessions on:
• Business growth and competitiveness
• Access to finance
• Export readiness and market intelligence
• Standards and regulatory compliance
• Strategic partnerships
• Maximising opportunities through trade fairs and exhibitions
GTFCL in addition to providing platforms for fairs and exhibitions, is creating platforms that build business capacity, facilitate strategic partnerships and connect enterprises to local, regional and international market opportunities.
The programme also aligns with the Government of Ghana's vision of accelerating private sector growth under President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda and complements the objectives of the 24-Hour Economy by strengthening SMEs, the backbone of Ghana's economy, to become more productive, competitive and resilient.
GTFCL extends its sincere appreciation to the Republic Bank Ghana, the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), the Association of Ghana Industries, Pensions, and all participating organisations whose expertise and support contributed to the success of the programme.
We also thank every entrepreneur who participated with enthusiasm and a commitment to learning. The future of Ghana's economy will be shaped by businesses that embrace innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration.
GTFCL remains committed to creating impactful programmes.
