Attending the Cannes Film Festival this year was an inspiring reminder of the power of storytelling and the importance of representation on the global stage.
One of my highlights was spending time at Pavillon Afronova, a vibrant platform dedicated to amplifying African voices and creating opportunities for filmmakers, creatives, investors, and industry leaders across Africa and the diaspora.
The conversations, connections, and collaborations taking place there reinforced a simple truth: African stories matter, and the world is ready to hear them.
As more African creatives engage with international platforms like Cannes, we have an incredible opportunity to showcase our talent, culture, and unique perspectives while building meaningful partnerships that can shape the future of our creative industries.
I left Cannes inspired, energized, and even more committed to supporting spaces that elevate African storytelling on the world stage.
