Well tickle my arse and call me a trout, I'm now back at it after a very busy(almost) week of not being in the hutch! So awesome to see some of your happy little faces today and see the smiles when those inner magpies got their objects of desire! Things have calmed down immensely and it's time to catch up on much needed rest after what can only be described as a manic summer! I'm still filling the shop with new objects of desire and plotting new jewellery as the Rabbit Hole will as always remain open throughout the year, albeit on limited opening hours which once I can actually focus again and I don't feel like a beach ball, colourfull on the outside but empty within, I'll announce the days so those of us lucky to live on the island can still get their precious thing fix. Happy Saturday you awesome lot and thank you for your continuous support 💜

Sometimes there are days when you are walking in the footsteps of past generations, when you are reliving the history of those that loved, danced, lived and breathed a different life, one that was shaken by not just the earthquake of 1953 but previous to that the occupation by Germans and Italians. Today I and a friend had the absolute privilege of having past lives told to me by Arthur from Footsteps of Farsa, stories of abandoned houses come to life with the people that inhabited them, all told to him by the families and people who lived in what is now a place of fascination and sorrow. Stories so wonderful it was easy to imagine the 12 year old child being almost swallowed by the earth as she was thrown to the ground as it opened by the power of the tremors that shook, in some places the very foundations of houses to the ground, her sister saving her as her mother, selling grapes near to the church below must have looked on frantic at what was unfolding. Arthur met this lady and walked around Old Farsa with her as she recounted her memories of days gone by. I can't actually convey how amazing today has been, I've been to Old Farsa on so many occasions but today added a wonderful and different dimension.If you love the history of the island and want a truly wonderful afternoon with Lexy the dog and Arthur as your guide then I can't recommend this enough. Absolutely spellbinding.

So, I'm taking a break for a few days but snuck into the Rabbit Hole under the cover of darkness only to be met by a veritable band of Cheshire cat wannabees! ( Grimalkin is obviously the Cheshire cat supreme!) I'll be heading out into the hills to embace the spirit of this island I love so much, to breathe in the jasmine, mint, oregano and thyme as I aimlessly wander down overgrown paths to find whatever treasure for my eyes awaits. The hutch is in the capable hands of Anne and Anna, my invaluable little elves and the shelves are fully stocked. I'll be back there on Saturday. So. . .I've been missing in action for the past few days, I've been immersed in the wonder of Athens. After dropping Grimalkin at her slaves for the weekend, her screaming her indignation, like a victim in a horror movie, each scream getting louder till finally her belly full of inhaled air, she farted herself into silence ( Hey, it happens to the best of us!). I was finally on my way to hunt for treasure and eat curry. I ate so much i was like a chubby raccoon thst had just discovered the pie shop dumpster, sat on the bus, wide eyed at the passing sights ( or possibly the threat of a food induced tummy shame) of abandoned buildings, resplendent and visually stunning like the mansions from fairytales where cats were now squatting and claiming them as their very own "meownsions" and the kaleidoscope of people and the artwork on the buildings, the best art gallery I've ever visited. And the door p**n. Oh my giddy aunt. The door p**n is absolutely compelling! It's been a wonderful days and I've been a complete hunter gatherer in the "precious things' stakes! As Pinhead said in the film Hellraiser . . .I have such sights to show you! ( But first I need a rest and a curry detox!) I'll be back in the hutch tomorrow. Thank you to my little hutch elves Anne and Anna for taking care of the goodship lollipop in my absence and sorry to everyone who came to see me and found I'd vanished. . . I'll see you next time. ❤️
