A sign for Πλατεία, the town square in Pyrgos 🌞 Fun fact: when starting Aegean Essence 3 years ago, I came across a photo of this carved marble sign on Pinterest and fell in love with it. It became one of the earliest images on my Aegean Essence mood board, without knowing where it was (there was no location on the photo).

A Greek πλατεία represents so much of what I love about Greece: community, tradition, and the beauty of everyday life shared under the Aegean sun. 🌞

Last summer, I visited Tinos and one day decided on a whim to explore the village of Pyrgos, high up in the winding mountains of the island. As I wandered through its charming streets, I turned a corner and came face to face with this very sign.

It felt like a serendipitous moment, seeing something that once lived on my mood board come to life right in front of me… a little sign that the places meant for you always have a way of finding you 💛
