Κολιονάσιος ο Γιαννιώτικος Μπακλαβάς Baklava story
Baklava reigns supreme among all oriental sweets.

Common in Greece, Iran, Turkey, the Maghreb countries and the Middle East, baklava traces its origins in Ancient Greece, the Byzantines and the Ottoman Empire. From country to country, the syrup and the fillings of the layered phyllo dough pastry vary; one of the most popular recipes comes from the Greek town of Ioannina, where the Kolionasios family became famous for their golden baklava bars -the traditional hand-wrapped crispy rolls, lightly sweetened and generously filled with top quality nuts.

"There is a good crunch with the flavour of the vanilla and coffee coming in a gentle wave. This products shows great skill as the sugar has been reduced but it is still indulgent and tasty with the other flavours standing up well to the sweet notes. A delightful little baklava roll!"
