IMAGINE THE ISLAND OF SINT MAARTEN HAS NO INDIGENOUS KALINAGO AMERINDIANS LEFT - YET IT HAS 3 STATUES OF AMERINDIANS ON THE MOST POPULAR BEACH IN THE CAPITAL CITY.

Dominica has 4,000 Kalinago Amerindians still there - the biggest surviving population of Kalinagos left on Earth - and they are the ONLY indigenous people in the Caribbean islands who were NEVER militarily conquered by Spain, France, England, or ANY other European power …and YET not a SINGLE statue to honor this great and mighty people ANYWHERE in Dominica.

EVERY INTELLECTUALLY HONEST WHITE PERSON WOULD REALIZE THAT NATIVE PEOPLE GOT INVADED AND SLAUGHTERED IN THEIR OWN LANDS BY EUROPEANS- WHO LEFT THEIR OWN LANDS TO STEAL AND ILLEGALLY COLONIZE THE LANDS OF OTHER PEOPLES AROUND THE WORLD - THEN HAD THE DISHONEST AUDACITY TO CALL THE NATIVES THEY WERE INVADING AND MURDERING ‘ SAVAGES’ FOR DEFENDING THEMSELVES AGAINST THE REAL SAVAGES FROM EUROPE WHO STARTED THE INVASION AND ILLEGAL COLONIZATION IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I WAS INVITED TO SPEAK AT THE ‘GAZA: ONE YEAR OF ISRAEL’S GENOCIDE - BARBADOS PROTESTS FOR PALESTINE’ , this is a snippet of my speech today that revealed many controversial truths western media will never tell you - that I learned first hand in the Middle East when I went there in 2017.

MORE UNKNOWN/LITTLE KNOWN KALINAGO HISTORY IN THE LESSER ANTILLES

In my eyes - this man is the last king of the Kalinagos of the Grenadines - in a sense… for he descends from THE most powerful Kalinago Chief of the Grenadines, the Brittish left his grandfather (and his 11 Kalinago children) with two islands ‘to own in perpetuity’, but the post-Independence Caribbean governments that currently own the grenadines - divided his grandfathers islands between themselves, St Vincent took Petit St Vincent in the north, and Grenada took Petit Martinique in the south, and the non-indigenous investors and settlers moved in and devoured the rest of what the last Kalinago noble family had been left with.

When we champion ‘reparations’ we must not forget the original landlords of this hemisphere who were genocided, enslaved, and robbed first - and are still being victimized to this day by those we HOPED would behave better.

TO QUOTE OUR DAUGHTER Sabantho Corrie-Edghill:

It’s interesting how quickly people label others as ‘full of themselves’ when they share their accomplishments, joys, or the things they’re grateful for. But let’s be honest, were you ever going to celebrate those wins for them? Uplift them? Offer support if they stayed silent? Or are you the type to only give people their flowers when they’re gone, when it’s too late?

Some people seem to feel triggered by others’ success, as if someone else’s blessings somehow take away from their own potential. Instead of letting envy or resentment grow, take a moment to reflect: What is it you truly want out of life? What makes you feel fulfilled? Maybe the frustration you feel toward others is really a reflection of what you haven’t given yourself the freedom to pursue. Find that passion, cultivate it, and share it with your circle. And if those around you feel threatened by your light, maybe they aren’t the friends you thought they were.

It’s time to let go of this crabs-in-a-barrel mentality. There is enough space, enough abundance, enough success for all of us to thrive. Claim your space without feeling like you have to diminish others.

And while we’re at it, let’s talk about this idea that others must suffer the way you did to ‘deserve’ their place in life. That mindset only keeps you in bo***ge. Just because your path was difficult doesn’t mean everyone else must struggle to validate their success. Sometimes people’s blessings come from grace, timing, or different circumstances. Instead of questioning if someone else ‘earned’ what they have, consider what’s driving that bitterness. Is it really about them—or is it about what’s unresolved in you? Healing from that mindset is freeing.

Then there are those who take up space just to disagree with everything, thrive off negativity, or challenge others for the sake of feeling powerful. Constantly engaging in arguments doesn’t make you more intelligent or insightful—it just shows a need for validation through conflict. Instead of tearing others down, maybe it’s time to pause and reflect: why does disagreeing bring you so much satisfaction? Healing means learning to engage with others from a place of curiosity, not competition.

We can all do better. We can all heal. There’s room for every one of us to grow, succeed, and find joy. Claim that space, but make sure the energy you bring into the room reflects the person you want to become.

WE WERE INVITED BY THE CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION TO MEET H.E. Brenda Wills THE NEW INCOMING INDIGENOUS MÉTIS AMBASSADOR (called a High Commissioner in Commonwealth countries) TODAY, AND MEET THE NEW INDIGENOUS US AMBASSADOR H.E Roger F. Nyhus - a member of the Chinook Tribal Nation in Washington State, Pacific Northwest USA), AND JOIN THEM IN THE FIRST EVER OFFICIAL JOINT OBSERVANCE & COMMEMORATION OF CANADA’S NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION BY AN INDIGENOUS CANADA & AN INDIGENOUS USA AMBASSADOR- ANYWHERE EVER .

The official day is September 30th, but today was the day we chose to observe it together in advance. On September 30th I will cut off my hair in and act of mourning for the thousands of indigenous children who died in the Residential School system in North America.

Myself, my wife, and our youngest child Laliwa were invited to represent the Eagle Clan of the Lokono-Arawak people - to meet the two new Indigenous Ambassadors and to say the closing prayer at the end of the ceremony in the garden, it was very emotional ( brought tears to both Ambassadors eyes as well as many in the audience) as we remembered the tens of thousands of Indigenous children who were forcibly removed from their families in tribal villages all over Canada (and the USA) and put into church run Residential Schools where mental, physical, and sexual abuse were rampant, and which killed thousands of those indigenous children - who’s families never saw them again. While the Indigenous experience in Guyana was not that tragic, my wife’s own parents both told me how they were beaten in school in Guyana in their own tribal village of Pakuri by non-indigenous teachers for speaking their own Lokono-Arawak language - because the teachers said it was ‘heathen’ and ‘savage’, so they could only speak the English language if they did not want to be beaten. So this racist colonial and neo colonial MIS education system inflicted pain and misery and injustice on the indigenous peoples of the entire Hemisphere, as I know of similar experiences in Central and South America and in the Caribbean islands.

One of the things I stated that seems to have resonated with most listeners was when I said:

“I am not saying to forget the past - because one does not learn by forgetting, however the past is a point of reference - not a place of residence, too many of us live in the past and carry the burden of all that pain and suffering and anger and resentment upon our shoulders, and it hinders us from moving forward productively in our present life and making the necessary constructive actions NOW in the present - to rectify the errors of the past - to ensure a better future “

And also:

“If you could see the bigger spiritual picture, you would not hate, persecute, or victimize anyone, for you would know that every human being is your spiritual sibling, you can hate the actions done and words spoken by another person, but you cannot hate the person, you do not know what happened in their life to cause the end result in their objectionable actions and words today, how were they raised? Who did something to them that damaged them in some way in their formative years? Or what occurred prior to them encountering you - that caused them to take out their frustration on you by accident? Be less eager to pass judgment, and more curious to find out why this person is they way they are - so that you gain a better understanding”.

This Strong indigenous woman leader is standing up to the USA government and telling them NO you will NOT do as you please on indigenous lands in Hawaii ! Most of our indigenous men leaders don’t have the guts this woman has, they prefer to ‘put their mouth where the government soup leaks’ so they take their government money hand outs and keep their ass quiet, and let the government do whatever it wants to on indigenous lands.

This is why despite what you assume, those barefooted indigenous peoples living rural lives of hunting, fishing, farming (without chemicals) and foraging - actually have healthier bodies on average than anyone born and raised in an urban city who wears shoes most of their daily lives.
