In November 2010, Dr. Martens invited GOD to participate in their exhibition and charity auction, 50 Years of Dr. Martens: The Making of an Icon. GOD's 2010 take on this most iconic footwear is radical. By using a dragon and phoenix print that originated in the fabric traditionally used for baby carriers, not only is ruggedness contrasted with tenderness to great effect, an Asian icon is starkly juxtaposed with a Western one.

This is our popular brocade print. It is so popular, we still use it for some fashion items. It is a typical graphic for embroidered silk cloth used for qipao dresses and men's suits. They are essentially styalised motifs incorporate symbols of longevity and prosperity. In our design, GOD in both English and Chinese has been incorproated and can be read in both the up and down positions.

Such sturdy gates used to be popular in Hong Kong, but they are getting increasingly rare. New shops prefer roll-down shutters which are cheaper to install and much less hefty to operate.

In the past, Hong Kong contractors would fashion hats using newspapers to cover their heads while painting. We created this painter's hat in 2003 so as to keep the style, but it was made out of fabric. We, of course, used our popular Signature Print, Newspaper. Still a popular print today, Newspaper is a replication of a classic classified section of a Hong Kong newspaper.

A tote bag in the shape of a chicken in a paper bag. Before the popularisation of supermarkets, ladies carried their live dinner from the wet markets in this way. What was unique about this bag besides the look was that the head of the rooster was a detachable coin purse. First released in 2003.
