Because of the virus, a lot of restaurants have gone back to serving their drinks with plastic straws. So bringing our own straws and cutlery is more important than ever. There is no expectation for perfection, just the daily effort to try to live with less waste. 🌼

Hello, everyone. It’s Nathalie. How are you holding up? You might find this message quite trite, but I sincerely hope you’re doing okay despite... well, just everything that’s happening in the world.

It’s disheartening, isn’t it? I personally had high hopes at the beginning of the year, only to find my plans crushed like a bug under a boot. Things went downhill after our trip to Taiwan in January and I haven’t been able to *completely* get back on track ever since. Though it’s quite invisible to others, the state of my physical and mental health hasn't been great. That entailed taking a break, including from managing the store’s ads/socials. For that, I would like to thank our customers who continued to support us in spite of our absence online.

The world is still ailing from the Pandora’s box that is 2020, and nobody knows what the next couple of months and years will bring us. So while I do not know exactly what each one of you is going through, I hope you find comfort in knowing that I’m rooting for you to find healing, happiness, and peace. 🕊

We've tried 4/5 of 's gift wrapping alternative suggestions!

We used cut cloths wrapped in furoshiki style for gifts to be opened at home and old newspapers / torn magazine pages for gifts that will be opened outside! We also made use of washi tape and paper twine — no need for plastic tape anymore!

Save up on money while saving the environment this holiday season 🎄💚

Often times, young people are not seen as capable of igniting change or shaping the future. Greta Thunberg continues to prove that otherwise.

In August 2018, Greta started a school strike for the climate outside the Swedish Parliament that has since spread all over the world and now involves 100,000 schoolchildren. The movement is called Fridays for Future.

Greta has been dismissed as "mentally ill Swedish child", bullied, and harassed by detractors after she shot to fame for her climate activism. This is what she had to say:

"When haters go after your looks and differences, it means they have nowhere left to go. And then you know you're winning! I have Aspergers and that means I'm sometimes a bit different from the norm. And — given the right circumstances — being different is a superpower."

Stay strong, Greta! 💪
