Crosley “Dashboards” 系列，官方型號主要是 D-25, 1950 年左右推出，外觀靈感來自當時汽車的儀表板，有多種顏色可選，同樣採用五管超外差線路，靈敏度高、聲音飽滿厚實，於當時是屬性能出色高階體積不大的桌上型收音機。
最吸睛的就是橫向的「速度表」式度盤設計。它不是傳統的指針，而是一塊琥珀色的透明片，在刻度後方水平滑動，顯示當前頻率，非常像汽車儀表板。加上時鐘及閙鐘的設計於當時更顯前衛。
外殼採用 tenite（一種早期塑膠材料），顏色多樣。最常見的是森林綠搭配仿金屬面板，由於 tenite 容易隨時間收縮、變形，至今仍能保持平整外觀的Crosley在收藏市場上非常搶手。
這款收音機之所以成為戰後美國最受收藏家喜愛的機型之一，正是因為它將當時象徵「現代化」與「豪華感」的汽車設計語彙帶入日常家電，充分展現了 1950 年代樂觀、朝氣的時代精神。

The Crosley “Dashboards” series, Model D-25, was introduced around 1950. Its design was inspired by automobile dashboards of the era and was offered in multiple color options. It also utilized a 5‑tube superheterodyne circuit, delivering high sensitivity and rich, full-bodied sound. It was considered a high‑performance tabletop radio, notable for its compact size.
The most eye‑catching feature was the horizontal “speedometer”‑style dial. Instead of a traditional pointer, it uses an amber‑colored translucent panel that slides horizontally behind the scale to indicate the frequency, closely mimicking a car’s dashboard. The addition of a clock and alarm function made it even more avant‑garde for the era.
The cabinet was made of tenite, an early form of plastic, and was available in a variety of colors. The most common version was forest green with a faux‑metal escutcheon. Since tenite was prone to shrinking and warping over time, Crosley units that have remained in flat, well‑preserved condition are highly sought after in the collector’s market today.
This radio became one of the most beloved models after the war among American collectors, precisely because it brought automotive design language—which at the time symbolized modernity and luxury—into everyday household items, fully capturing the optimistic and vibrant spirit of the 1950s.

由加拿大北電公司Northern Electric 50年代開始生產的其中一款非常獨特的收音機，”彩虹”或者”瀑布”系列，其特色是在於多彩的外殼，在當時讓收音機不僅能收聽節目，還能成為一件匹配客廳裝飾的家具。內部結構是當時主流的五燈超外差式電路，確保了良好的接收性能。
這本收音機因將工業設計與家居美學完美結合至今仍是收藏家眼中的熱門藏品。

One of the most unique radios produced by Northern Electric in Canada starting in the 1950s, the "Rainbow" or "Waterfall" series, was characterized by its colorful casing. This radio not only served as a receiver but also became a piece of furniture that complemented living room décor. Its internal structure used the five-tubes superheterodyne circuit, ensuring excellent reception.
This radio, due to its perfect blend of industrial design and home aesthetics, remains a highly sought-after collectible.

自幼已經著迷收音機，好奇只是一個小箱子何以發聲。十來歲時曾經跟着𠻝考書自製收音機📻
這幾十年間因緣際會下，搜羅不少古董收音機，除咗欣賞📻外殼嘅設計，每部收音機都有其特性同特色，而最感樂趣就是買返嚟時可能冇聲，但經自己一手一腳修理後，可以開聲運作正常📻滿足感由生😄
