Planning a date night or just a casual lunch? Either way, the homemade pastas from are the way to go. Their food is consistently high-quality, using only the freshest ingredients at an affordable price point. This seafood pasta, for instance, is loaded with clams so sweet and fresh you can still taste the sea. And to make the deal even sweeter, their lunch set comes with a soup and a drink. Haven't tried Hana yet? Come by soon! Your belly will thank you.

Our core design philosophy for the Postapalooza installation revolved around making the posters undeniably central. To achieve this, we employed a minimalist mounting technique by securing each poster with subtle magnets at the corners, allowing the entire image to command attention without visual interruption. The decision to print on matte polypropylene was to enhance colour vibrancy and durability.

The exhibition's ambiance was created through strategic lighting. By using spotlights equipped with snoots (created via our very own DIY method of aluminum foil!), we created a pinpoint illumination that highlighted each poster while simultaneously allowing the broader space to recede into an inviting, dim atmosphere - a deliberate choice to amplify the visual impact.

Our curation process for the poster placement was largely guided by instinct, pairing pieces based on their colour palettes, stylistic elements, and underlying themes. To inject architectural interest and break the linearity of the vast Garage space, we incorporated repurposed c-stands, introducing varied display heights and effectively segmenting the area into more intimate zones. This division not only added significant depth but also provided opportunities for curated display tables to feature a selection of design-focused books from our personal collections and those of our collaborators, enhancing the overall graphic design theme and visitor experience.

With the close of our Garage Sale 6.0 last month, we wanted a special way to look back at all the great moments. Our very own suggested the perfect tool: the RETO3D by .project , a cool film camera with three lenses that takes stereoscopic 3D-like photos. We passed it around to vendors and visitors throughout the weekend, and here are some of the fun snapshots we got back!

Hong Kong’s winter is giving us the emotional equivalent of a lukewarm bath - neither here nor there. Amid this seasonal limbo, we’ve decided to heat things up by bringing you a dose of summer vibes at Heath. We present “Why 你去beach吾玩水嘅?”, an exhibition by local photographer that’s as fun and chaotic as a weekend trip to Shek O.

For the Cantonese-challenged, “Why 你去beach吾玩水嘅?” translates to “Why do you go to the beach if you’re not swimming?” The project, spanning five years, captures Shek O’s visitors in quirky, candid moments: kids digging questionable sand pits, sunburned uncles under umbrellas, and the quintessential Hong Kong habit of going to the beach without ever touching the water. What started as Chow’s antidote to pandemic cabin fever has become a vibrant snapshot of local culture - bright, colourful, and unapologetically eccentric.

If Martin Parr’s Brighton Beach photos dissect British seaside traditions with humour, Chow’s images celebrate Shek O with a similar playfulness. His use of vivid colour and bold framing transforms even the most ordinary beach scenes into cheerful, cinematic moments.

So, if you’re tired of pretending to enjoy this “winter” and need a reminder that summer exists, come down to Heath and let Chow’s photos transport you to Shek O’s sandy shores. It’s the closest you’ll get to a beach day without actually having to deal with sand in your shoes.

What an incredible wrap to Garage Sale 5.0! A massive thank you to all the vendors who worked so hard - from hauling all your merchandise to Heath, tirelessly selling throughout the weekend, and even restocking multiple times to keep up with demand. And of course, thank you to everyone who visited and filled the venue to the brim! We never imagined there would be a line forming outside before we even opened on the first day. Your enthusiasm is what drives us to keep this event alive and thriving!

While it’s inspiring to see so many people passionate about secondhand and sustainable shopping, what truly makes Garage Sale so special is the community we’ve built together. This event isn’t just about buying and selling - it’s about the connections formed. Watching new and returning vendors bond with visitors and with each other was such a joy to witness. The weekend was packed with laughter, good vibes, and even dancing, thanks to the crew, who closed out the event with an impromptu mini rave party!

Without a doubt, Garage Sale 5.0 has been our most successful edition yet - and it’s all because of you, our wonderful community. Thank you for making this event unforgettable. We can’t wait to see you again at the next one!
