In 2010 Vega instigated its “Vega Global” strategic program; expanding its operational capabilities across the global markets. Employing over 300 skilled personnel, the Vega Group already has established offices in Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, India, Australia and the United Kingdom. In addition, Vega’s Accredited Partner Program has established commercial relationships with “like-minded” AV companies in regions where Vega has no formal presence; enabling our customers to enjoy a consistent Vega engagement internationally. Looking back at @infocommindia_ 2026 - Day 1 at the Jio World Convention Center, Mumbai. The day began with the inauguration and ribbon-cutting on the Smart Tech Stage, bringing together invitees, exhibitors and key stakeholders from across the industry. Four of our colleagues have earned their AVIXA CTS certification!

Congratulations to Ameer Ghani (Singapore), Alvin Long (Singapore) and Kevin Siu (Hong Kong) on becoming Certified Technology Specialists, and to Laemon Kew, CTS-I (Malaysia) on achieving CTS-I, the installation specialisation.

Our CTS program—part of the | A Company Academy initiative— is driven by the vision and mission started by our CEO, Steven Medeiros, to continually raise the bar for the AV industry in APAC. It’s not about adding letters after a name; it’s about ensuring our clients work with teams measured against strict global benchmarks.

What we are most proud of is the dedication it took to get here. These four team members balanced live projects, travel, and client deadlines to put in the study hours. Their commitment is the blueprint for our culture of continuous growth. Congratulations to the team on this well-deserved achievement. Thank you for setting the pace for the rest of us. We Won!

The New Zealand International Convention Centre has taken out Best Application of AV in a Commercial or Government Project (over $5m) at the 2026 AV Industry Awards — the AVIAs — announced last week at Integrate Expo 2026, ICC Sydney.

New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) is New Zealand's only official International Convention Centre — more than 30,000m², a 2,852-seat plenary theatre, and a 6,637m² divisible exhibition hall. Our scope covered custom design, value engineering, structural deployment, end-to-end programming, testing and commissioning across every major venue zone. The result is a venue that flexes from a 4,500-guest theatre layout to 33 simultaneous meeting rooms without breaking stride.

The AV Industry Awards are presented by AV.technology in conjunction with Integrate Expo, and in partnership with AVIXA and AETM - the association for Audiovisual & Educational Technology Management — and sponsored by Dante. Recognition from our own AV industry is the hardest kind to get.

This is also the first award for our New Zealand team as VEGA, a FORTÉ company. The acquisition was announced only last week, and what changes is that the same engineers in New Zealand are now backed by a group spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, working to one set of delivery standards. Local hands, global bench.

Kicking off the month with momentum!

We closed out last week by kicking off our Country Managers’ monthly meeting with incredible energy. Now officially a FORTÉ company, we are eager to dive into the new month! We spent the session aligning our vision, mapping out strategic plans, and finalizing our events and activities for the upcoming quarter.

Our Australia team kicked off @integrate_expo 2026 with a strong start yesterday on the first day of the region’s largest AV trade show.

A great highlight was seeing the team recognized by one of our key partners, Neat, with the Deal of the Year – Australia award for the Amazon project. It’s a fantastic acknowledgment of the team’s hard work, collaboration, and the strong partnerships they’ve built in the market.

And this is just the beginning. Now, as VEGA, a company, we’re part of a growing global team, bringing together our strengths, expertise, and local knowledge to serve our global clients as one unified team, wherever they operate.

The market learned that VEGA is becoming FORTÉ on the morning of 26 August. We got down to work that same morning.

FORTÉ's executive leadership came to our Hong Kong office, and we started where it mattered most. An all-staff townhall brought together more than 750 colleagues from across APAC at VEGA, now a FORTÉ company, to hear the news first-hand and put their questions directly to the leaders of both companies. A closer session with our RBU leaders and country managers followed, where we worked through the vision and strategy for how the two teams come together.

That order was not a matter of scheduling. Putting people first is in the DNA of both teams, and we operate on a deeply rooted people-first philosophy, which made finding common ground seamless—and remains the primary reason our clients stay with us year after year.

In the afternoon, we welcomed our key manufacturer partners for an executive roundtable discussion, an APAC industry first, held on the day of the announcement itself. Our leaders took questions in the open: what becomes possible now, what changes, and what happens next.

The day closed with the signing ceremony and dinner celebration, and time with the people we will be building this with.

Together, we are building the largest global footprint in our industry. Wherever our clients operate, they will be supported by one unified team!
