Peugeot PA10.
Peugeot might be one of the most known road bike brand of the world, its name is one with the Tour de France which was won 10 times by a Peugeot rider, including the big Eddie Mercx (!). Design was always strong by all models, but for us functionally acceptable were only the pro, training and top of the middle class. (in contrast to a lot of brands where the basic models are already genious.)
PA10 model was introduced in the US as a "touring bike", but according to us and the fans it is suitable for a training bike as well.
Classical road bike built in the 70s, almost completely original, on a beautifully lugged (gothic Nervex), thin coat metal blue frame, with Simplex dropouts. Normandy high fl**ge alu hubs built into Mavic double walled polished aluminium tubular rims, with Gommitalia and Vittoria brown walled tubulars on it. Gorgues Simplex crank and high end shifting system performing silent and accurate (!). Old classic lined AVA stem , chromed steel bar wrapped with new textil tape, equipped with Mafac Course 130 brake levers covered with butter coloured hoods pulling the legendary Mafac Course "Dural Forge" first generation centre-pulley brakes. Cable houses are lead through engraved shells along the upper tube to the brakes. Chromed seat tube with an Isca mod. special Luxe sadlle on top. Lyotard pedals with old Christophe clips and AFA leather straps.
We were very curious about its performance because classical bikes are already so old that they often simply dont fit the requirements of todays users. But not in this case: the Simplex shifting is silent and strong, saddle is comfortable, the bars have a nice grip, brake levers are also ok to grip from upwards, brake power is great, running is smooth and silent,, it gives a dynamic ride, the wole bike is just great, and fit for an everyday use or u can keep it for ur collection as well.
