From a small boat leaving Meixian to the historic streets of Chinatown Bandung, our story was built on sweat, survival, and quiet sacrifice.
Inspired by the enduring spirit of Pramoedya’s Hoakiau di Indonesia, this collection reflects the painful trials of 1959. when families were torn apart, identities hidden, and simple Hakka terms like ‘Akew’ (brother) and ‘Amoy’ (sister) were weaponized into slurs.
Yet, we stayed. We fought for this land on and off the arena, holding onto hope until the doors of recognition were finally opened.
What was once used to divide us, we now wear with pride. This isn’t just apparel; it’s a living heritage of resilience and love for the country we call home.
