Borobudur

A remake design from famous paintings from maestro Srihadi Soedarsono and Affandi , Borobudur is always has their presence in my memory.
The quiet yet majestic to the sparks of andesit rocks under the sunlight.

I painted it on two different form, one has the pedestal illusion represents how solid the peaceful feelings can be.
The other one has more rounded and lightweight form represent the history of Borobudur that still connected until present time.

One has new home in Tangerang, while the other one is based in Yokohama.

Pink porcelain, handpainted .

Pink is a challenging color for me, simply because i’m not really into it ( sorry 😬😬) ,i guess thats why i put so much effort to make something pink that make non pink people like me would consider a pink. *wink

But still, the journey is always fun.

June marked the 5th year my studio established in Sanur. Time flies.
decided to visit style and color pallete that drew me into pottery world.
I started as ceramic collectors, mostly are Japanese tea wares, where dark colors, rough texture meets with metallic accent is something for me to go to.

Feels refreshing went back to the darkness 🤭 between my pink porcelain and colorful works.

The studio grew from one person to 6 crew at the moment, plus one intern that is joining us until end of August.

We are blessed with so many supports to our functional artworks, the fuel that keeps us going.
