Heritage week - Arklow Heritage Museum
🌿 Women, Money & Place – Final Workshop for Heritage Week 🌿
After two successful workshops, FLIT Financial Literacy and SSE Renewables are delighted to be running a final 'Women, Money & Place' workshop for Heritage Week.
📅 Friday 21st August

📍 Arklow Heritage Museum (formerly the Maritime Museum), Bridgewater
We’ll be joined by local historian Pat Power, who will give an informative talk, followed by Deirdre McCarthy, who will share fascinating digitised findings compiled by Sinéad McCarthy from the 1926 Census of Main Street, Arklow.
These workshops have offered a wonderful insight into how the women of Arklow lived and worked through the generations spanning from over a 100 years ago, to their present day connections and memories of the town.
The workshop will conclude with an interactive Memory Collage session, led by local artist Yvonne Power. 🎨
And to top it all off, delicious bakes from Blásta Bakery will be served on the day! ☕🍰
