Evergreen structure, seasonal texture. Conifers anchor this garden with year‑round form and privacy, while flowering perennials and mounded shrubs add color and softness through spring–summer. Low maintenance, high impact — design that reads well in every season.

- Vertical form for sightlines and scale
- Foliage texture for contrast close up
- Reliable color and structure in winter

Overgrown privet hedge in Ballyshannon, Donegal Leaving a hedge to grow unchecked often means a harder, more stressful cut later. Tackle it little and often to keep shape, support wildlife, and avoid heavy pruning. If a hard prune is needed, don’t worry — privet regrows quickly when cut correctly.

Quick tips:
- Trim annually or twice a year depending on vigor.
- Avoid heavy pruning during bird nesting season; remove no more than one-third of growth at once.
- Feed and mulch after cutting to speed recovery.
Message to book a tidy-up across Donegal.
