🎅❤️ It’s the little moments we remember.

The excitement before they arrive.

That little bit of shyness when they first see Santa.

Then Santa starts talking to them… they realise he knows exactly who they are… and suddenly that nervous little face turns into the biggest smile. ✨

As a photographer, these are the moments I love capturing most.

Not the perfectly posed photograph.

The look. The laugh. The little conversation with Santa that feels completely real to them.

Because children don't stay little forever.

But photographs have a wonderful way of taking us back to the Christmases when they were. ❤️🎄

That's what Santa's Grotto Donegal is really about — making Christmas memories together.

At Santa's Grotto Donegal, well-behaved pets are welcome to come along and be part of the Christmas magic.

And yes… that means they can meet Santa too. 🎅🐶

We absolutely love seeing the reaction when a dog meets Santa — although we're still not sure who's usually more excited! 😂

For many of us, our pets aren't just pets.

They're family. ❤️🐾

And they deserve a place in the Christmas memories too.

🎅🔨 The magic might happen in December… but the work starts long before it.

There’s a lot that families never see behind Santa’s Grotto Donegal.

The planning. The props. The signs. The set. The little ideas scribbled down that might eventually become part of a child's Christmas experience. 🎄

And this year, I'm putting a huge amount of thought into every little detail.

Some ideas will work. Some will probably change completely before December 😂 — but that's part of creating it.

I don't want families simply walking into a room to meet Santa.

I want that moment when the children arrive to feel like they've stepped into Christmas. ✨

There’s still plenty to do…

But bit by bit, Christmas 2026 is starting to come together. 🎅❤️

🎅❤️ Some Christmas moments are over in minutes… but remembered for years.

There’s something very special about watching a child with Santa.

The excitement beforehand.
The little bit of shyness when they first walk in.
Then Santa says something that makes them smile… and suddenly the magic takes over. ✨

Photographs like this from previous Christmases are why we love doing Santa’s Grotto Donegal.

Because one day they'll be too grown-up to believe quite as much as they do now.

But Mum and Dad will still have the photograph.

And they'll still remember that Christmas when Santa was completely real. ❤️🎄

Hold on to these little Christmases. They don't stay little for long. 🎅✨

🎄✨ There’s something about Christmas…

The lights seem a little warmer.
The excitement feels a little bigger.
And for children, there’s still that wonderful possibility that anything could be magical. ❤️

Before long, we'll be welcoming families through the doors of Santa’s Grotto Donegal again.

There'll be excited little faces, Christmas wishes, laughter, photographs… and probably a few children suddenly becoming very shy when they finally meet the big man himself. 🎅😂

For now, we're simply enjoying watching Christmas 2026 slowly come to life.

The magic will be here before we know it. ✨🎄
