The Dock and me, The Reading Room Bookshop, are delighted to present the national launch of John McGahern: A Writing Life by Frank Shovlin.

October 9th. 8pm. The Dock.

John McGahern is widely considered one of Ireland's most important prose writers. The biography traces the experiences and relationships that shaped McGahern's writing and places his work in a wider Irish and international context.

Frank Shovlin will be on conversation with writer and broadcaster Sinead Gleeson.
