About Charles & Charles:
A collaboration founded in 2008 between Wine Enthusiast Magazine 2014 Winemaker of the year, Charles Smith (K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines) and Charles Bieler (Three Thieves, BIELER Père et Fils & Gotham Project). They make just four wines together. The Rosé, a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, a Chardonnay, and this single vineyard Riesling.

A bit about the wine:
A unique richness for Riesling. There's a touch more of key lime Mosel component that shines through to make for a more dynamic and complex profile. The aromatics have a distinct citrus zest, lime, apricot, peach and summer flowers. Thankfully, none of the aromas or flavors dominate, allowing an underlying salinity and mineral component to shine through. The wine is beautifully balanced from a kiss of sugar and bright acidity. 💋

I have been waiting (not so) patiently for the Viega da Princessa Albariño to arrive in back in stock, and finally it’s arrived 😅😇
From Bodega Pazo do Mar in Galicia, the vineyards were planted in 2002 after two years of uniting more than 200 small farms, plot by plot, and more than 70 different owners; a clear reflection of the Galician “smallholding” economy.

Great varietal character with marked floral notes plus stand out herbaceous and fruity aromas; a fresh, tasty, balanced crispness with an elegant aftertaste enhanced by a hint of citrus. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Domaine Des Anges, Ventoux Rosé. A beautiful winery situated on a hillside across from Mount Ventoux, the giant of Provence and owned by charismatic Irishman, Gay McGuinness.
Intense salmon pink colour. Big and beautiful with lots of red currant and cherry and pomegranate. A wine made for food.

I’m really happy it’s Friday and this wine is amazing! From Sting and Trudie Styler’s vineyard Il Palagio in Tuscany. It’s called Message in a bottle and it’s Vermentino. Also organic and biodynamic 👌
