NEW STOCK: In 1994 'Nor Meekly Serve My Time, The H Block Struggle 1976 - 1981' was first published by the independent publishing company Beyond the Pale

It was a remarkable book in that it told '...the inside story of those prisoners who refused to be treated as criminals. Using the accounts of the men who lived through and survived those years of protest and hunger strike...'

It was republished by Beyond the Pale to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the 1981 hunger strike in 2006.

It then went out of print and a few years later Beyond the Pale ceased operating.

Beyond the Pale has been revived and has published this special edition to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the 1981 hunger strike.

This edition contains a tribute to Brian Campbell, compiler of the original book. Brian died aged 45 in 2005.

It also has a new introduction for the 40th anniversary by Laurence Mc Keown, himself a former blanket man and hunger striker.

This publication also has all of the original contributions.

An Fhuiseog is delighted to be able to make this great book available. It is of course available through www.beyondthepalebooks.com and other outlets.
